Dazed and Versace celebrated the launch of the Odissea sneaker from Versace.
Taking over a warehouse in Echo Park, Dazed and Versace welcomed guests to a new venue dramatically transformed by lighting, haze and the iconic Versace Medusa head which was projected floor to ceiling on the facade of the building and throughout the space. A bespoke mirrored fixture showcased the brand new Odissea sneaker, while the acclaimed visual artist Robb Ross programmed a retro futuristic light installation that hung above the dance floor creating a high-impact atmosphere like that of the new Odissea sneaker.
Kathryn Newton was channeling her inner Paris Hilton in this pink Versace Medusa mini dress.
While I love the rhinestone embellished cup, the rest of the styling is quite abysmal, especially the necklace and shoes.
As you know I worship the ground that Jurnee Smollett walks on, but I will draw the line on this occasion as the pink two-piece and the accessories are at odds with each other. And not in the cool way that I can usually get on board with.
I’m not sure if I’m liking Shay Mitchell’s Versace Fall 2022 look, or giving it a “best of a bad bunch” pass.
What I do feel is that the houndstooth check is calling for the Fall season.
Normani is perhaps the only Versace look that gave me no reason to complain. Mostly because she opted to wear the same colour tights with her Pre-Fall 2022 dress.
Soko, a certified Gucci girl, went Versace for the night with underwhelming results.
