Do you remember your second birthday? Mine was probably Barney the dinosaur-themed. Like most toddlers, Khai, daughter of Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik, celebrated her birthday with a cake, some pizza, and face painting, all planned by her dad. Hadid just shared more photos and details from the day, and it looks super cute…and refreshingly normal! (Cough cough, Stormiworld).
On Instagram, Hadid shared a picture of the Peppa Pig flower-shaped-balloon-art centerpieces and the three-tiered cake, covered in hills and sky and animals. “her baba threw her the best party!” the model wrote, tagging her singer ex. She even shared a glimpse of Khai, whose face and privacy she diligently protects, in a pink tie-dye dress.

In another snap, mom and daughter pose together, Hadid’s face painted in red and white. There are tote bags full of party favors arranged by Malik’s personal assistant (yep, I googled who @tarynzim is), and some pizza. Looks like a fun day!

In a recent interview, Hadid revealed that her daughter is “very brave” and likes to jump off of things. Cowabunga, Khai.
Hadid and Malik have been involved since 2015, quietly and then publicly dating for a few years before splitting in 2018. They continued to spend a lot of time together, without labels, and seemed to have gotten back together fully by the time the pandemic hit. They announced the birth of Khai on September 23, 2020, but some 13 months later split amid a messy situation involving Hadid’s mom, Yolanda.
More recently, Gigi Hadid has been linked to Hollywood’s #1 Modelizer, Leonardo DiCaprio, though how much of that rumor is real, how much is wishful speculation and how much is PR shenanigans remains to be seen. If anyone spots Leo sporting a “Khai’s 2nd Birthday” tote bag while he rides around New York on his CitiBike, please let us know.
