Vanessa Kirby joined Laura Dern for ‘The Son’ photocall during the 2022 Venice Film Festival on Wednesday (September 7) in Italy.
This festival has been very impressive fashion-wise, thanks mostly to the efforts of Jodie Turner-Smith and Tessa Thompson, and my excitement just increased 10-fold upon seeing Vanessa Kirby on the red carpet.
Her style, grace and elegance will always win me over, and this Valentino Fall 2022 Haute Couture three-piece look is no exception.
Red has really become the go-to colour for dramatic entrances on the Venice Film Festival red carpet – see Tessa Thompson and Timothée Chalamet for further confirmation – and both the colour and 3-D flowers ensured this look was not to be missed on this red carpet.
Red Valentino Haute Couture at Venice Film Festival is also a go-to for Vanessa, as she wore an open back Haute Couture red gown to the ‘Pieces Of A Woman’ Venice Film Festival premiere back in 2020.
This look might split us into “with the coat” or “without the coat” camps.
I think the look works better with the coat. Without kinda veers into ‘60s swimsuit territory.
