Following the London Film Festival premiere, the cast of ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’ have moved onto Madrid, Spain, where both a premiere and photocall took place on Wednesday (October 19).
I have to say that I absolutely love this mermaid-inspired Halpern Spring 2023 look…on the runway.
But I’m not buying this on Kate.
I want to blame the fact that this isn’t a look I’m ready to see in October when I’m yearning for velvet and looks in autumnal hues, but I can’t get over the fact that my first thought was ‘belly dancer.’
Allow me to nitpick with reference to the tie at the waist.
It really serves no purpose.
I would’ve wrapped it around her waist in almost a cummerbund style so you don’t have random pieces just hanging.
Who else is bummed that this look wasn’t saved for Halle Bailey’s ‘Little Mermaid’ promo tour?
Then we have the photocall
As a woman with freakishly long arms who can hardly ever find a blazer to go past my wrist, I am applauding the length of the sleeves on her Gabriela Hearst Spring 2023 blazer.
I love the colour on Kate, the trouser length thankfully didn’t veer into Victoria Beckham territory, and I adore the elegance of the silhouette.
One out of two for Madrid.
