Jenna Ortega understands every assignment. So far, the actor’s looks while promoting her role as iconic goth Wednesday Addams in Netflix’s new series, Wednesday, are both fashion forward and on theme.
Take, for example, her look for an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday, November 15. Ortega wore a half dress…half catsuit? It’s hard to say, but it is undeniably chic. (Ortega also showed proper respect for wired headphones, which were connected to her iPhone like it’s 2011.)
The 20-year-old’s confounding dress, by Dion Lee, appeared to have a built in lace catsuit, which peeked out beneath a hip-high slit. Cutouts on both sides of the torso were also covered in lace. She paired the look with black platform Louboutin heels and, as a clear lover of the classics, a deep red lip and matching scarlet nails. Wednesday Addams would be so proud.

Netflix’s Wednesday premieres November 23, and stars Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman as Morticia and Gomez Addams, respectively. Rounding out the stacked cast are Gwendoline Christie, Fred Armisen, and the original Wednesday herself, Christina Ricci.
In Tim Burton’s 2022 take, Jenna Ortega plays a high school student at Nevermore Academy. Per Netflix, the series chronicles her “attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a killing spree and solve the mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago.” Spooky.
