Lizzo is truly the fairy godmother of TikTok. The “Rumors” singer just granted an amazing wish, literally providing the gown for a young author to wear to the ball. Glass slipper not needed!

Aurielle Marie, a queer writer who uses “they” and “she” pronouns, recently got the honor of a lifetime when they were named one of the Out 100 LGBTQ+ Literary and Publishing stars. As the essayist and poet explains in a now-viral TikTok, there’s nothing they want more than to go to New York to accept the award at a gala event…but fashion being what it sadly is, they can’t find the perfect dress to wear. Given that Marie and Lizzo have similar body types, the author then makes a small request: to borrow the singer’s dress from the 2022 Emmys.

This is the dress Marie is referring to:

Well, be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. That first TikTok went up on October 27, and on November 15, Marie posted an update: Lizzo sent a dress!

It’s not the 2022 Emmys dress, it’s her dress from the 2019 American Music Awards (both are warm-hued tulle), and just watch Marie’s thrilled reaction when they put it on.
