It’s been a year of fashion throwbacks, with everything from Ugg boots to denim maxi skirts returning to It-girl wardrobes. And as always, Jennifer Lopez is bang on trend. In fact, fans of the singer might notice that her most recent look feels like an ode to her style in her early years of fame, when she was dominating the charts with her hit albums, On the 6 (1999) and This Is Me… Then (2002).
Spotted out shopping in Los Angeles, the 53-year-old pop sensation served an ensemble awash with her signature pieces from back in the day. The look comprised a brown faux fur Coach X Schott NYC coat, a navy knitted roll neck jumper and blue baggy jeans. For still more classic Noughties J. Lo, the star threw on a brown-tinted pair of aviator shades and tan lace-up Timberland boots.
With her hotly-anticipated new album This Is Me… Now set for release next year—complete with nods to Ben Affleck, who was her boyfriend when This Is Me… Then came out and is now her husband after they found love again—perhaps the singer is feeling nostalgic. Bring on more old-school Lopez looks.
