The parents-to-be are already doing Christmas family-style.
On December 24, Nope star Keke Palmer posed with her boyfriend Darius Jackson for an Instagram boomerang that showed him kissing her stomach. “Mom n dad,” Jackson wrote over the Instagram Story, per People. He also showed off his family’s Christmas tree and his and Palmer’s passport photos—is a babymoon on the horizon?
Jackson added the Jay-Z/Beyoncé collab “03 Bonnie and Clyde” song to the passport post, a duet that samples Tupac on the chorus: “All I need in this life of sin is me and my girlfriend (me and my girlfriend) / Down to ride ‘til the very end, is me and my boyfriend (me and my boyfriend).” If you’re looking for iconic couples to emulate, Bey and Jay are a good choice. (Bonnie and Clyde Barrow…well, maybe in spirit but not in practice.)
Much like Beyoncé herself, Palmer announced her first pregnancy by revealing her bump on live television. She confirmed the news during her opening monologue while hosting Saturday Night Live, and later reflected on the special experience on Instagram, writing, “This year has taken me for a ride! And how cool, my baby and I are already doing it all together. Thank you God!…thank you to my other half @dvulton for giving me the things that only true unity can bring. Love is all we have isn’t it, you do nothing in this world alone, and trust me, I am not alone! Very grateful… Happy Holidays!” In addition to being adorable, the moment was celebratory for many women dealing with fertility struggles and PCOS.
Clearly, Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson are thriving, and no amount of negative attention can bring them down. After Palmer stepped out for a recent date night without makeup, she handled online trolls magnificently, writing on Twitter, “I just saw a few comments of ppl saying I was ugly ’cause I wasn’t wearing any makeup. And I really want y’all to get the help y’all need because makeup isn’t real. I’m beautiful in real life, because of who I am, not what I look like.”
Their kid isn’t even here and already has amazing parents!
