Cate Blanchett made her first red carpet appearance of the year at the Palm Springs International Film Awards on Thursday (January 5) in California, where she picked up the Desert Palm Achievement Award.
The Australian actress was rebuilding her red carpet profile as the Queen of Repeats in 2022, but on this occasion she opted to wear an Armani Privé Fall 2009 embellished jumpsuit from the archives.
Elizabeth Stewart must have so much fun dipping into the archives for Cate.
And it is made all the more enjoyable knowing full well that anything that she pulls is going to work perfectly for Cate.
Because let’s face it, Cate was born to wear Armani Privé.
I like how the cape-like sleeves ensured this 13-year-old piece felt like it was recently shown on the runway, and how Cate’s simple styling which included Louis Vuitton jewels and classic Jimmy Choo Anouk pumps amped up the elegance.
