Luca Guadagnino and Dakota Johnson attended the Sundance Institute’s Inaugural Opening Night: A Taste Of Sundance on Thursday (January 19) in Park City, Utah.

It’s great to see Luca Guadagnino back on the red carpet, but it looks like he is cheating on Loewe by opting for a Prada look featuring the signature plaque logo.

I didn’t have him down for a logo guy, yet here we are.

I also didn’t have Dakota Johnson down for a triple denim girl, but I love the change in direction which sees her wearing a Magda Butrym denim corset, oversized trench coat, and baggy jeans with the same fit.

The nostalgic way we think about double denim is usually the Canadian tuxedo, or the iconic 2001 American Music Awards red carpet look from Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears, but there are so many stylish ways to make it work as demonstrated by Dakota.

It has been said that we should be ditching the matching denim tones and opting for different shades of blue, but I believe that a matchy denim look always feels more cohesive.

What are your thoughts on double denim?
