Raquel Leviss Scheana Shay

Of all the #Scandoval stories (and there are many), the allegation that Scheana Shay punched Raquel Leviss in the face following a Watch What Happens Live taping seemed one of the most outlandish. For one thing, I would have thought Shay’s nails were too long for her to even form a closed fist. But Leviss says the physical attack really did happen, and she’s released photos of the aftermath to prove it.

Leviss included pictures of her bruised face in her court filing requesting a temporary restraining order against Shay, People has reported. In the documents acquired by People, Leviss describes Shay pushing her against a brick wall at around 1:30am, causing an injury to her head. Then, “[Shay] punched me in the face causing injury to my left eye.” Leviss says in the filing that the attack left her with a, “black eye and cut/scar to left eyebrow, blurred vision & swelling to left eye.” TMZ published the photos included in Leviss’s filing, which show the SURver with purple bruising around the eye as well as a cut on her eyebrow.

According to People, the documents also included a screenshot of a recent Instagram post from Shay, with a caption reading, “Always got your back! 👊🏼 #TeamAriana.” The fist emoji was reportedly circled twice for emphasis. “Currently mutual friends and coworkers are telling me [Shay] doesn’t regret the physical attack on me and would do it again if she found that further emotional distress was caused to our mutual friend,” Leviss wrote in the filing.

Longtime Vanderpump Rules fans will know that Shay had taken Leviss under her wing following Leviss’s breakup with ex-fiancé James Kennedy. But, more importantly, Shay and Ariana Madix have been extremely close for over a decade. As Lisa Vanderpump herself said on Watch What Happens Live on March 8, she believes Shay “slapped her around the chops” because of her feelings for Madix. “But you know what, her feelings would be running really high because Ariana was her best friend for like 12 years,” Vanderpump said. “You forget it’s not just the show. They were together working four or five years before the show. They grew up together. She very much kind of has Ariana’s back.”
