Latto Drops Her Skin Care Routine

If you’ve turned on the radio or opened the TikTok app, chances are you’re familiar with Latto’s music. The rapper is one of the hottest artists on the scene right now, known for hit songs like “Big Energy” and “Lottery” that have taken over our social media feeds and found a permanent place in our heads.

In the past few months, she’s won the Powerhouse Award at Billboard’s Women in Music event and performed at the iHeartRadio Music Awards—not to mention, she recently wrapped up a leg of Lizzo’s Special world tour as a special guest. With her busy schedule, Latto still manages to have a good skin care routine, using the right products to care for her acne-prone skin.

“I’m a minimalist when it comes to skin care,” she tells Glamour. “I just need a good cleanser, toner, serum, and moisturizer. That sounds like a lot, but that’s minimal for a good skin care routine.”

Latto’s music isn’t the only thing that has gone viral on TikTok. Her unfiltered skin care routine videos have racked up millions of views. Not afraid to show herself without makeup, the rapper has shown herself taking off makeup after a show, followed by her nighttime routine. Skin care has always been important to Latto, especially as she spends more time in the glam chair.

“I have oily skin, which is acne prone,” she says. “I’ve dealt with acne since I was a kid. It’s dope now that I’m getting older, but wearing makeup back to back with different makeup artists, brushes, and beauty blenders definitely makes me more acne prone and oily.”

Taking her routine to the next level, she’s currently in the market for an expert skin care professional. “I want to start getting regular facials and have someone really know my skin consistently,” she says.

In the meantime, Latto is comfortable taking care of her own skin and willing to try new treatments. “I just do it myself. I know that sounds crazy, but I keep saying I want to do it. I see people getting the chemical peels and doing them. I’ve seen hard-for-days horror stories too, but I still want to try it.”

Ahead, Latto shares her favorite skin care products, her go-to lip combo, and the secret to airbrushed body makeup for Glamour’s Drop the Routine

My cleanser

I love Dr. Murad’s Acne Control Clarifying Cleanser, and I just started using Sunday Riley’s Ceramide. My sister has acne-prone skin too, and she told me about ceramide and how it’s supposed to turn over your skin cells. I’ve been using that and I like it a lot.

My moisturizer

The Sunday Riley Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream. I love Sunday Riley.

My sunscreen

I just started using sunscreen. Since I’m young, I never saw the importance of it. Now everybody keeps telling me, “No, you need to use sunscreen.” So I use the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide SPF 50 Sunscreen.

My spot treatment

I just started using acne patches, and I bought them for my friends for Christmas. I swear by those little acne patches. There are two that I’ve got. Mighty Patch and Peace Out.

My face oil

Dr. K’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate Moisturizing Face Oil is the one that I’m using right now.

Kiehl’s Since 1851 Midnight Recovery Concentrate Moisturizing Face Oil

My lip products

For moisturizing it’s gonna be Vaseline. My everyday lip combo is from my sister’s brand Beauty by Brooklyn, which just launched. I mix Champagne and Bubble Bath with the Hazel Lip Liner. I use that combo—that’s mine.

My body care

I use the Fenty Beauty Body Lava Body Luminizer every day. But for photo shoots, I use the Fenty Beauty Body Sauce Body Luminizing Tint with the lava on top. It makes you look airbrushed.
