Raye attended the 2023 Ivor Novello Awards held at The Grosvenor House on Thursday (May 18) in London, where she picked up the award for Best Contemporary Song for her number one single ‘Escapism.’
The British singer’s style tends to embrace a vintage, retro style which at times feels Marilyn Monroe-inspired, but she switched gears on this occasion wearing a look from the Givenchy Fall 2023 collection.
Her pearl and crystal macrame gradient fringed dress is beautiful, but I’m not sold on the black long coat, mostly for the fit, rather than the coat itself.
It looks like there wasn’t much of the dress past the waist, so I don’t begrudge her desire to wear the look as shown on the runway, but it does look a bit too big for her, which I’m noting this as a trend.
