Here is a roundup from the 2023 Baby2Baby Gala which took place in LA on Saturday (November 11).
Alessandra Ambrosio looked stunning wearing a Monique Lhuillier Spring 2024 pink jaw-dropping strapless gown which gave us a totally different, and refreshing side to her style.
While I love this for the model, this is exactly what I had in mind for Jessica Alba at this event.
You might be having a mild case of déjà vu seeing the gorgeous Camila Alves wearing this Harbison Studio Resort 2024 bustier gown.
That’s because Jodie Turner-Smith wore a colour-block version from the designers Resort 2023 collection with the cape to the ‘The Whale’ Venice Film Festival Premiere back in September 2022.
Both versions suit the respective wearer.
What I love most about Chrissy Teigen in this Afffair Resort 2023 strapless gown with oversized floral appliques, is that it sees her doing something different to the pastel, embellished chiffon gowns she has long had an affinity for.
Demi Lovato stepped into her Dita von Teese era wearing a Dolce & Gabbana draped satin gown styled with matching gloves and a Dolce & Gabbana mini rhinestone Sicily bag.
I’m glad her oversize era is over.
Gwyneth Paltrow was serving food at the Goop Kitchen station yet added some bling to her look wearing Ferragamo’s kitten heels accented with a silver bow.
I’m not sure how many more backless Saint Laurent gowns Hailey Bieber has in her, but I hope she gives us something new in 2024, because they are starting to roll into one.
It was cute for a while.
Heidi Klum and her love for Lever Couture continued with this tulle gown. It’s a shame that the details – which I can barely make out – were lost against the dark backdrop.
I really don’t mind sheer looks 50% of the time, but everything from the waist down on Lori Harvey’s custom Defaïance dress is boring and underwhelming to me.
Monique Lhuillier had an amazing night.
Events where sophisticated feminine glamour is required is where the designer always shines.
Lucy Hale looks breath-taking here in this red mermaid gown.
Considering I’m very much a neutral, shades of brown kinda girl these days for my personal wardrobe, I’m very underwhelmed by Maria Sharapova in this Gabriela Hearst Hannah puff sleeve dress for this event.
The same can be said for Michelle Monaghan who usually blows me away, but both of these pieces from Staud’s Spring 2024 collection feel a bit basic.
Nicole Richie joined her sister Sofia Richie at this event by also wearing an turtleneck gown.
I would say you can’t really go wrong with burgundy velvet gown, and Nicole would prove me right in this Alberta Ferretti gown.
Again. Another spectacular look from Monique Lhuillier. I don’t get why we don’t see as much of her designs on the red carpet anymore.
The designer is three for three at this event, with Nikki Reed complementing her dazzling dress with a matching clutch.
Normani is having a moment with Dolce & Gabbana, going for sheer to heavy embellishments wearing a look from the Fall 2023 collection.
The fit is giving claustrophobia, as the bodice appears too confined.
A mini crystal Sicily bag completed the look.
Olivia Wilde brought the summery vibes wearing Balmain.
Christopher Esber stays true to form with this Spring 2024 sultry, sheer, cut-out dress worn by Phoebe Tonkin.
Zoe Saldana rocked a fun and flirty mini from Balmain styled with Reza jewelry.
