Elizabeth Debicki attended the Los Angeles premiere of Netflix’s ‘The Crown’ Season 6 Part 1 which was held at the Regency Village Theatre on Sunday (November 12), where the Australian actress stayed true to form following the Season 5 premiere, by wearing black.
The Season 5 London premiere gown paid homage to Princess Diana’s 1987 Cannes Film Festival Catherine Walker red carpet look.
While I’m convinced that this off the shoulder Bottega Veneta Spring 2024 bustier dress for the Season 6 premiere, was an ode to the “Revenge Dress.”
The “revenge dress” was the velvet off-shoulder dress – by Greek designer Christina Stambolian – which was worn by Princess Diana to a 1994 dinner at the Serpentine Gallery in Kensington Gardens on the same evening Prince Charles confessed to his adultery with Camilla.
Elizabeth didn’t go as far as to wear a choker, but she did style her off-the-shoulder dress with Calzedonia tights and Manolo Blahnik pumps.
This was a typically clean, simple and elegant look for Elizabeth. I love everything about this, especially the impact it makes despite the simplicity.
