Kacey Musgraves didn’t let a minor wardrobe malfunction get in the way of her debut musical guest appearance on Saturday Night Live. The day after the episode aired, however, the Grammy winner logged on to X (formerly known as Twitter) to explain the snafu: She forgot to remove a clip from her hair before going onstage for the show’s closing credits.

The mistake is so small you might not have noticed it or assumed it was an intentional part of her outfit. Look closely at this photo Musgraves reposted, however, and you’ll see her denim maxidress was accidentally accessorized with a white hair pin meant to help her sleek brown hair hold shape. “The clip. I forgot to remove the clip,” a seemingly mortified Musgraves captioned the image on Sunday.
