Lashana Lynch attended the 2024 BAFTA Television Awards held in London on Sunday, where she wore a 16Arlington Vezile pleated dress from the Spring 2024 collection we have seen twice before on the red carpet.
However, this is the first time we have seen the runway version because Greta Gerwig wore a custom black sequin dress during the Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards, and Alexa Chung wore a silver paillettes version of this dress to The Fashion Awards last year.
I was intrigued by this choice for Lashana, as she doesn’t usually select trending pieces or labels.
The fit could have been a whole lot better judging by the bodice, but honestly, I like this for Lashana, which is surprising to me considering that I’m not usually a fan of the colour grey.
Ultimately, I think Lashana would have looked better in the black dress, as I feel that Greta’s version is the best of the three, but this feels like a step in the right direction for the British actress.
