Exactly 24 hours after the Venice Film Festival, the cast of ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ has made their way to London for the premiere this evening, and all eyes are once again on Jenna Ortega.
The actress did not disappoint wearing a custom Harris Reed Fall 2024 teal gown that was nothing short of mesmerizing. The gown, accented with velvet panels and complemented by velvet gloves, struck the perfect balance between eerie elegance and high fashion—a look that seems almost tailor-made for the quirky, gothic world of ‘Beetlejuice’.
Harris Reed’s unique brand of glamour aligns seamlessly with the film’s aesthetic, capturing its dark whimsy and theatrical flair. Some might be questioning the choice of gloves, especially since we are technically nearing the end of summer. But in my opinion, the gloves were a masterstroke, adding a layer of depth and drama to the outfit. The sombre backdrop of the step and repeat, combined with the dress’ intricate details, makes them a worthy addition to Jenna’s ensemble in my opinion.
Now, there might be some of you wondering if Jenna should have worn the look book version of the gown. It’s a fair question, but personally, I don’t think the floral peplum bustier would have aligned with the mood of this tour. The tour has a certain dark charm to it, and Jenna’s custom gown perfectly encapsulated that vibe, without the need for any floral distractions.
The ensemble was completed with Fabergé x Beetlejuice Beetlejuice jewels, created in partnership with Tim Burton and Colleen Atwood. These pieces added a touch of gothic opulence, underscoring Jenna’s look with a sense of timeless elegance that perfectly matched the tone of the evening.
I don’t know about you, but I much prefer this look over yesterday’s red Dior gown. While the Dior dress had its own allure, today’s choice felt more connected to the spirit of the darkly nature of the film.
