At this year’s D23 Entertainment Showcase, fans were treated to an exciting first look at the highly anticipated third instalment in the ‘Tron’ franchise, ‘Tron: Ares’.
The film, set to hit theaters on October 10, 2025, promises to take audiences deeper into the digital realm first introduced in 1982. Returning to the iconic role of Kevin Flynn is Jeff Bridges, who once again plunges into the world inside a computer mainframe. Joining him in this futuristic adventure is Greta Lee, whose role and fashion choices are already generating excitement.
Greta, known for her unique style, is poised to make a significant impact on the ‘Tron: Ares’ press tour. Alongside her co-star Jared Leto, Greta will be expected to deliver some major fashion moments of the press tour. And this first appearance is a testament to her forward-thinking style, as she stepped out in pieces from Hodakova, the first fully sustainable fashion house by designer Ellen Hodakova Larsson.
Just last week, the designer wowed us by transforming spoons into wearable art, and this time, she repurposed a black leather riding boot into a corset, paired with an upside-down beige cotton midi skirt made from wide-leg chinos. The ensemble hails from Hodakova’s Fall 2024 ‘Conventional Collection 112403’, a line that encapsulates the brand’s commitment to sustainability without sacrificing style.
This collaboration between Greta Lee and Hodakova feels like a natural fit, as the brand’s conceptual and unexpected designs align perfectly with Greta’s taste for fashion that pushes boundaries.
Hodakova’s Fall 2024 collection draws inspiration from the English equestrian and eccentric socialite Lady Martha Sitwell, blending themes of military precision and discipline with the designer’s signature playfulness. Many pieces in the collection are deeply personal, crafted from Larsson’s own family heirlooms, such as her mother’s riding boots and her grandmother’s silver plates.
With Greta championing Hodakova’s designs, I’m sure we can expect a series of unforgettable style moments as the ‘Tron’ press tour unfolds.
