The excitement for the beloved 2003 film ‘Freaky Friday’ reached a fever pitch as Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan took the stage at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in California on Friday, where the duo officially announced the title of the highly anticipated sequel, ‘Freakier Friday’, much to the delight of fans.
Jamie Lee Curtis wore a stunning suit from Cinq à Sept. The classic silhouette was imbued with her signature personality, featuring intricate embellishments of birds, butterflies, and bows that added a whimsical touch to the ensemble.
Lindsay Lohan, who has been enjoying a resurgence in her career, also made a striking appearance at the event wearing a Balmain Resort 2025, designed by Olivier Rousteing, who is known for his dramatic and architectural designs.
The ensemble featured the classic exaggerated hip detailing that Rousteing is famous for, creating a silhouette that was both bold and intriguing. However, the dark backdrop of the event unfortunately obscured some of the outfit’s finer details, leaving me wishing for a lighter setting that would have better showcased the design.
One detail that did stand out—but perhaps not for the right reasons—was the label sitting prominently on Lohan’s collar. The visible tag distracted from what was otherwise a stunning outfit.
‘Freakier Friday’ hits theaters sometime in 2025.
