Here are all the attendees who wore custom Gucci looks by Sabato de Sarno for the Kering Foundation Third Annual Caring for Women Dinner that took place on Monday in New York.
Crystal Queen with a Twist
Dakota Johnson once again brought her signature sparkle to the red carpet dressed in a custom Gucci gown featuring a silver crystal bustier with the iconic GG logo balancing familiarity with freshness. While it’s true Dakota gravitates toward crystal-adorned pieces—examples from The Lost Daughter’ Venice Film Festival premiere, 2021 LACMA Art+Film Gala,Vogue Carnival Ball, and ‘Madame Web’ LA premiere come to mind—the ivory cady skirt in this design brought a welcomed twist. The simplicity of the skirt contrasted beautifully with the intricate embellishments up top, giving the ensemble an elegant, modern feel.
Her Boucheron Art Deco pendant earrings, featuring pearls and diamonds, along with a Plume de Paon ring, added the perfect finishing touches.
Sequins and Shine
Jessica Chastain is no stranger to the world of Gucci, and her love for embellishments was on full display at this event. The custom Gucci gown, drenched in silver and green degradé sequins, was a radiant example of her red carpet style—glamorous, eye-catching, and undeniably chic. The gradient effect of the sequins added depth and movement to the gown, making it one of the most standout looks of the evening.
Remember what I said about the Gucci Bamboo 1947 mini bag being a prerequisite for these Gucci custom gowns? Here it is again in HD.
The Damiani ambassador completed her look with their dazzling jewels.
Understated Elegance
As a co-chair of the event, Salma Hayek Pinault opted for a more subtle brand of glamour, wearing a custom black Gucci gown adorned with vertical leather stripes and black strass for a delicate shimmer.
While the gown’s restrained elegance suited her duties as co-chair perfectly, her Boucheron Ondes necklace, though stunning, might have had an even greater impact with a white dress.
Green Goddess
Julia Garner embraced autumn with her Gucci custom green lace gown embroidered with a Flora pattern and velvet details. The rich, haunting shade of green played beautifully against her fair complexion, ensuring this was a striking look.
Julia’s floral gown was an ode to nature’s beauty, perfectly capturing the essence of fall fashion.
Fringe and Flair
Raye’s Gucci Ancora Notte black chiffon sheer dress might have flown under the radar had it not been for the mesmerising beaded fringe embroidery. The intricate detailing transformed a seemingly understated dress into a dress worthy of a glamorous occasion.
