After a whirlwind Wednesday filled with multiple outfit changes, Lady Gaga took a refreshingly minimalist approach for her second ‘Joker: Folie À Deux’ photocall during the Venice Film Festival.
Held at the Cipriani Hotel, the singer and actress decided to pump the brakes on her usual high-fashion drama and opted for something no one quite expected—normcore. And frankly, I love it.
Gone extravagant gowns, and elaborate styling. Instead, Gaga appeared in a simple black t-shirt and wide-leg trousers. It was a complete departure from her typically bold aesthetic, but somehow, her star power shone even brighter through the simplicity.
It’s almost hard to believe that Lady Gaga, the queen of avant-garde fashion, would embrace something so stripped down during a press tour. But here it is, and it feels like a breath of fresh air. After dominating the festival with three Dior dresses (there was a third Dior dress she wore inside the venue)—this casual moment was exactly what she needed to balance things out.
Despite the laid-back nature of her outfit, Gaga’s undeniable charisma and presence turned what could have been an understated look into something special.
Was this normcore moment from Lady Gaga a welcome change of pace? It’s refreshing to see her embrace this kind of fashion versatility, proving that even in simplicity, she remains a force to be reckoned with.
