Much like the photocall, the cast of ‘Queer’ opted for Loewe looks for the Venice Film Festival premiere this evening, but this time, there was a noticeable shift towards more glamour and sparkle.
Effortless Elegance in Amber
Lesley Manville looked regal in her custom Loewe gown accented with an amber and gold brooch at the waist and a shawl cape that added a touch of sophistication. The colour was exquisite, and the fluid drape of the gown exuded an air of elegance. Lesley completed her look with Loewe Toy pumps and nappa twist earrings and bracelet.

Glistening Glamour with a Trendy Twist
Omar Apollo brought glistening glamour to the red carpet in a Loewe golden watch top from the men’s Spring 2025 collection. Paired with a custom Loewe black suit, the look was bold and eye-catching, though the flared trousers felt a bit too long. This is a trend we’ve seen emerging in several Spring 2025 menswear shows, so expect to see more of these elongated trousers moving forward. His look was completed with Loewe Crown Oxford shoes, adding a polished finish to his ensemble.

Breaking the Mold in Ivory
Daniel Craig stood out in an ivory custom Loewe suit, breaking away from the typical black tux trend. While the choice of an ivory suit was refreshing, I wasn’t entirely convinced by his choice of shoes or the sunglasses. His grooming, too, could have been sharper, but perhaps he’s trying to distance himself from the polished, clean-shaven James Bond image he’s held for so many years. An OMEGA timepiece added a classic touch to his look.
Contemporary Cool in Navy
Drew Starkey hit the right note with his custom Loewe navy tuxedo, which featured a trouser length that didn’t graze the floor—a definite win. The tux itself, with its contrasting lapels and tieless styling, amped up the contemporary feel of the outfit. Loewe Campo derby shoes finished off his modern yet sophisticated look.

Sleek and Stylish as Always
Luca Guadagnino rarely deviates from his signature style, and once again, he did not disappoint. His custom Loewe double-breasted black suit was sleek and perfectly tailored, paired with the Tarantella brooch from the Loewe x Lynda Benglis collection. Loewe Epsilon Slim sunglasses and Loewe Campo derby shoes completed his look, affirming his reputation as one of the best-dressed – if not the best – directors in Hollywood.
Flair and Finesse
Jason Schwartzman brought a dash of flair to the red carpet with his custom Loewe suit, styled with a silk necktie shirt and a Bowed tie brooch from the Loewe x Lynda Benglis collection. The combination added a distinctive touch to his ensemble, setting him apart with an elegant and refined aesthetic.

Understated and Chic
Justin Kuritzkes chose a Loewe Fall 2024 pinstripe suit. Standing alongside him, Celine Song embodied her usual chic minimalism in a Loewe chain dress, paired with a tailored jacket and Loewe Campo biker boots from the women’s Fall 2024 collection. The most surprising element of her look was the pop of colour from her yellow Loewe mini Flamenco bag, which added a vibrant contrast to her otherwise subdued outfit.
