Daisy Ridley attended the 2024 SCAD Savannah Film Festival in Georgia on Monday, where she not only attended the screening of ‘Young Woman and the Sea’ but was also honoured with the Lumiere Award.
You may remember that earlier in the year this press tour sparked a bit of a blue wave, but Daisy surprised us this time by opting for a luminous yellow Stella McCartney dress from the Resort 2025 collection.
Yellow isn’t a colour that everyone can wear effortlessly. It’s a notoriously challenging hue, especially for those with fair complexions, as the wrong shade can quickly wash you out. Yet, Daisy’s choice of a lemon-yellow tone works perfectly. Paired with a rich red lip, she sidesteps any risk of fading into her dress, letting the sunny colour radiate rather than overpower.
The design was an ode to elegance and subtle drama. The draped, cape-like detail adds a graceful touch that enhances the column silhouette, giving the dress a goddess-like flow.
Her look is completed with a pair of Manolo Blahnik Racita slingback sandals in gold nappa leather for her award-winning night.
