Maria Bakalova was back on the red carpet at the Zurich Film Festival for ‘The Apprentice’ premiere on Saturday, and this time she took a strikingly different fashion direction. Having recently channeled her character, Ivana Trump, in a head-to-toe homage at the New York screening, Maria pivoted to something more playful yet dramatic for this Swiss premiere.
The Bulgarian actress stepped out in a black sheer organza babydoll dress by Ashi Studio, a designer known for pushing boundaries and delivering high-impact glamour. The dress, embroidered with feathers and accompanied by a matching cape, perfectly captured the drama we expect from Ashi Studio, while embracing the fun, whimsical touch that often defines Maria’s red carpet style.
To complete the ensemble, she paired the outfit with Roger Vivier I Love Vivier Daisy strass sandals, which added a sparkly, feminine touch to her bold look.
This shift from channeling Ivana Trump’s glamorous persona to embracing avant-garde couture highlights Maria’s versatility. I know that some of you are tired of method dressing, so you will be glad to see it was limited to one outing so far on this press tour.
I love how this Ashi Studio creation allowed her to explore her more theatrical side while staying true to her playful personality.
