Apple Original Films’ hosted the ‘Blitz’ CAA screening and reception in Los Angeles on Monday with leading lady Saoirse Ronan in attendance.
Known for her association with Louis Vuitton, Saoirse has been surprising us by stepping outside the bounds of her ambassadorial commitments, choosing a variety of designers recently, including Hodakova, Ferragamo, and JW Anderson.
For this event, the Irish actress opted for an ethereal look from Colleen Allen’s Fall 2024 collection. The alum of The Row is known for her minimalist yet poetic approach to fashion, which can be seen in this sleeveless v-neck top crafted from delicate strands of cream and beige silk and cotton, which were artfully embroidered together, creating a loose, fluid shape below the waist.
The simplicity of the ivory silk maxi skirt paired with this top was almost serene, though it was undeniably too long—requiring at least two inches to be taken up for a better fit.
Despite the minor fit issue, Saoirse’s decision to wear Colleen Allen is another signal that she’s exploring beyond the limitations of her contractual obligations with Louis Vuitton.
This evolving approach to red carpet dressing feels thoughtful and intentional. Her stylist’s creativity is pushing her towards lesser-known designers, giving us refreshing and unexpected looks that are more in tune with her individual style. This exploratory phase of her fashion journey is one I’m excited to see continue, as it opens up new possibilities and fresh perspectives on the red carpet.
