Selena Gomez Wore Alaïa To The 2024 Academy Museum Gala

The Academy Museum Gala is more than just a celebration of cinema; it’s a glamorous convergence of Hollywood’s finest, where fashion meets film in an unforgettable display. This year, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures hosted its fourth annual gala, recognizing icons like Rita Moreno, Quentin Tarantino, and Paul Mescal. Yet, amid the star-studded crowd, one look stole the spotlight: Selena Gomez in a custom Alaïa.

Selena once again delivered. Moving away from the bold reds and black gowns that have dominated her ‘Emilia Pérez’ press tour, she opted for navy.

Pieter Mulier’s custom creation for Selena embraced the return of the peek-a-boo bra trend. The halter gown, crafted from rich navy suede, stood out thanks to its chic and daring contrast—a black leather bralette that peeked through just enough to make a statement without overwhelming the design.

The deep, moody tones of the gown brought a sensuality to her look that felt both understated and modern.

Her styling added to the overall impact. Tiffany & Co. jewelry—Elsa Peretti® earrings, Bone cuffs, and rings paired with a Tiffany Forever band ring—brought a refined yet contemporary edge. The sleek hairstyle was the perfect complement, allowing the dress and accessories to shine.
