Louis Vuitton unveiled its expansive new 57th Street NYC store on Thursday evening, a temporary yet monumental space poised to host the brand’s first US Louis Vuitton café, a chocolate shop, a global culinary concept, and an exclusive capsule collection of keepsakes. Set to open today, November 15, this multi-level space will be the largest Louis Vuitton store in the US, solidifying the brand’s evolution from a luxury retailer to a House of Culture.
Naturally, a glittering lineup of celebrities gathered to celebrate this milestone.
Pale green perfection
Hoping from her ‘Wicked’ premiere to this event, Cynthia Erivo looked amazing wearing a Louis Vuitton sculptural pale green taffeta crop top and matching maxi skirt. Taffeta may be divisive, but the fabric known to wrinkle worked beautifully here, with the structured silhouette adding drama. This look now ranks in my top three for Cynthia this month after her Mexico City and New York premieres. I can’t wait for Monday’s London premiere.
LV’s unstoppable muse
Jennifer Connelly once again proved her unmatched ability to dominate Louis Vuitton’s edgy aesthetic. Wearing a head-to-toe LV look with architectural heels that would overwhelm most, she exuded a badass confidence. I don’t know how she does it, but let’s hope she never stops.
Hobo chic meets LV luxe
Bradley Cooper, who is the face of Louis Vuitton’s Tambour revamped timepiece, was severing up hobo chic – mostly in reference to the hair and beard, and his Louis Vuitton corduroy shacket.
60s sparkle
Ana de Armas channeled retro glamour in an embellished Louis Vuitton mini dress. However, the silver tassel LV bag and leather boots felt mismatched, detracting from an otherwise fun, mod-inspired outfit.
Minimalism wins the night
In a refreshing departure from Louis Vuitton’s typically ornate designs, Willa Fitzgerald nailed effortless elegance in a white crop top and high-waisted black trousers. This look was both refined and memorable, landing her in my top three of the night behind Cynthia and Jennifer.
Great pieces, lost cohesion
Nina Dobrev’s Louis Vuitton Resort 2025 ensemble featured strong individual elements, but the skirt threw the look off balance.
Double denim Don’t
Tyshawn Jones’ quilted jacket and checkered jeans clashed, making his double-denim Louis Vuitton look fall flat.
Legs for days
Este Haim’s rare solo appearance saw her rocking a lace and ruffled mini Louis Vuitton dress. It’s the first time I’ve noticed her legs—and they deserve more red-carpet attention.
