It’s been over a year since we’ve seen Alexandre Vauthier on the runway or the red carpet, but the designer is back—and this time, he’s rewriting his own rulebook.
Gone are the seductive drapery, ruched details, and architectural cuts that won him fans like Rihanna, Cara Delevingne, and Bella Hadid. For Spring 2025 Haute Couture, Vauthier has pivoted from his signature curve-hugging, power-dressing aesthetic to embrace a quieter, more restrained elegance.
This new direction marks a departure from his Instagram-era heyday, and the front row? It mirrored this evolution perfectly. Sequins? We don’t know her. Bodycon drama? Nowhere to be found.
Cindy Bruna, however, brought a hint of the old Alexandre Vauthier vibe, wearing an oversized black leather jacket, jumpsuit, boots, and a bold gold-buckled belt. Her ensemble, while edgier than most, felt like a gentle nod to the brand’s pre-reboot DNA.

Indya Moore, however, leaned into the rebooted vibe with a sleek sleeveless black coat, high-neck top, and skirt, all topped off with an Alexandre Vauthier clutch. This look epitomised the new era: pared-back yet impossibly chic.

Valentina Ferrer, known for bringing the glitz, traded it in for warmth—literally. Draped in an Alexandre Vauthier fringe top and trousers, she channeled her inner woolly mammoth and was undoubtedly the cosiest person in the room.

Loreto Peralta ignored the understated memo in favour of dazzling drama, rocking a black cowl-neck gown with crystal embroidery. It felt like a rebellious reminder of the old Vauthier, just with a sprinkle of sparkle.

Then there was Léna Mahfouf in a dramatic black cape and trousers—a nod to Vauthier’s pre-reboot love for asymmetry. It felt like a bridge between his past and present, capturing the essence of transformation.
While some might mourn the loss of Vauthier’s iconic power blazers and party-ready gowns, his new direction is an intriguing shift. Reinvention can be risky, but it’s also thrilling—and it’s safe to say Vauthier is still keeping us on our toes.
