Catherine, Princess of Wales Visits The Royal Marsden Hospital

Catherine, Princess of Wales, visited The Royal Marsden Hospital in London on Tuesday following the announcement that she and Prince William are now Joint Patrons of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. The visit marked a poignant moment, as Catherine shared her personal connection to the institution, having undergone her own cancer treatment there.

In a heartfelt Twitter post, Catherine expressed her gratitude:

“I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year. My heartfelt thanks go to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything.

The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional. In my new role as Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden, my hope is that by supporting groundbreaking research and clinical excellence, as well as promoting patient and family wellbeing, we might save many more lives, and transform the experience of all those impacted by cancer.

It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focused on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am, however, looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. Thank you to everyone for your continued support. – C”

For her visit, Catherine radiated elegance in a Kiltane burgundy turtleneck and an Edeline Lee skirt, paired with a bespoke burgundy tartan coat by Blazé Milano. Known for their elevated tailoring and signature ‘Smiley’ pockets, the label transformed their classic blazer into a coat for Catherine, keeping the contemporary details such as the elasticated waist for a flattering silhouette.

Keeping the colour palette cohesive, she accessorized with a burgundy Asprey bag, brown Russell and Bromley pump, and Missoma earrings.

Catherine’s look was as thoughtful as her words, combining timeless appeal with modern sophistication—an apt reflection of her grace and resilience.
