First-time Oscar nominee Mikey Madison has been spotted out in New York over the past two days, promoting her film Anora. And while the buzz around her nomination is palpable, her style choices have us equally captivated.
On Wednesday, Mikey treated us to a departure from her usual all-black ensembles with a monochromatic baby blue look from the Patou Spring 2025 collection. Featuring a chic mini dress and matching jacket, the outfit fused ‘60s-inspired retro charm with a fresh, modern edge. It was a delightful surprise to see Mikey step outside her usual comfort zone, embracing a softer and more playful palette.
Of course, even the dreamiest spring vibes need to contend with January temperatures, so Mikey smartly added a Proenza Schouler Reed wool coat to keep things seasonally appropriate. Accessories were equally on point: Ferragamo Lysandra black patent leather T-bar pumps, a St. Agni shell-shaped clutch, and Chanel oval-shaped sunglasses completed the look. And let’s not forget the sparkle—Tiffany & Co. jewels, including diamond-encrusted pieces from the Tiffany Lock and Knot collections.
Fast forward to Thursday, and Mikey brought a completely different energy to her guest appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. Gone was the pastel whimsy; instead, she leaned into her signature understated vibe with a simple shirt-tie-and-trouser combo layered under the same Proenza Schouler Reed coat. The look felt authentically “Mikey” with its monochromatic palette and minimalist aesthetic.
While the Drew Barrymore outfit resonated more with Mikey’s established style, I have to give credit to her baby blue moment for its feeling of adventurousness. It’s feels like a rare treat to see her experiment, and it left me hopeful for more surprises as awards season kicks into high gear.
