Jennifer Lopez made a surprise appearance at the 2025 Grammy Awards, taking the stage to present the award for Best Latin Pop Album.
But before we even get to her look, let’s address the elephant in the room: if you saw her Instagram photos before seeing her on stage, you probably did a double take. Because, let’s be honest—she looked more like Khloé Kardashian than J.Lo.
This was a classic case of Instagram vs. Reality. JLo is a stunning woman, so the filters a baffling to me.
Wearing a Stéphane Rolland Fall 2024 Haute Couture look that was equal parts architectural and avant-garde. The ensemble featured a black cropped turtleneck paired with a shimmering beige skirt boasting a gravity-defying peplum.
On stage, the majestic quality of the skirt got completely washed out, leaving it looking a little more exposed. That’s when the Instagram photoshoot made so much more sense—this kind of look needs an editorial setting to fully sell it. Or, at the very least, it needs Coco Rocha and one of her 1,000 dramatic poses to give it the justice it deserves.
