Mikey Madison has been on quite the awards season journey, with the Film Independent Spirit Awards just yesterday and now the SAG Awards, where she’s nominated for Anora. And with the Oscars still ahead, the question remains: is she building momentum, or are we still waiting for that major moment?
On this occasion, Mikey opted for a custom Louis Vuitton pearl grey silk satin bustier column gown. Now, I know some of you found her last look a little too simple—lacking in details, missing that spark. But this time? We have a pleated wrapped bow adding some intrigue, plus a dazzling Tiffany & Co. Archives necklace. And let’s not overlook the red lip. This is a welcome switch-up from her usual neutral beauty looks and adds that extra pop many have been hoping for.
For those still sceptical about Mikey’s red carpet choices, does this fill you with optimism as we approach the final stop (the Oscars)? Or are you still waiting for more?
The nitpicker in me does wish the bodice were a bit smoother, but overall, I appreciate how she stepped outside of her minimalist comfort zone. Matching Louis Vuitton satin pumps rounded out the look, keeping things cohesive and polished.
