Following her unexpected Couture moment at Sundance Film Festival, Naomi Ackie was back on home turf for the London premiere of her new film Mickey 17, starring alongside Robert Pattinson. Held at Cineworld Leicester Square this evening, the red carpet saw Naomi trade in snowy Sundance chic for something altogether more futuristic.
The British actress stepped out in a Mugler Spring 2025 ensemble designed by Casey Cadwallader, featuring split-hem trousers paired with a silk corset that looked like it had been beamed in from the year 3025. The corset’s sculpted structure is a clear homage to Thierry Mugler’s legendary archive, with sharp edges and a sleek silhouette that feels like the perfect fusion of past and future.
What I love about this look is how it subtly nods to the sci-fi theme of Mickey 17 without veering into costume territory. The structured corset and the glossy fabric feel futuristic, while the tailored trousers ground the outfit in the present. It’s the kind of look that says, “Yes, I’m starring in a mind-bending space epic, but I’m also effortlessly cool while doing it.”

Her accessories were kept simple with diamond earrings that added just the right amount of sparkle, while her slicked-back bun featured a single curl reminiscent of Superman’s iconic swoop. Considering she is starring in a movie about intergalactic survival, a superhero curl feels entirely appropriate.
Naomi could’ve gone down the expected gala gown route for a London premiere, but instead, she gave us sleek, stylish sci-fi chic. And for that, she gets a standing ovation. I’m obsessed with this look.
