Anna Kendrick is back for Another Simple Favor, and if her SXSW premiere look is anything to go by, she’s also back with a fresh approach to fashion.
Like her co-star Blake Lively, Anna leaned into corsetry for the occasion, opting for a plunging houndstooth corset paired with metallic pinstriped trousers from LaQuan Smith’s Fall 2025 collection.
I love this for her. So often, we see Anna in those sweet, ultra-feminine dresses that, while pretty, tend to feel a little predictable. This, on the other hand, is sleek, bold, and a total departure from her usual red carpet aesthetic. It’s modern, it’s sharp, and it carries just the right amount of edge without veering into trying too hard territory.
The trousers are long—really long—but crucially, they don’t enter trip-hazard territory. Instead, they create a leg-lengthening effect that adds to the overall polish of the ensemble. This is the balance so many attempt but don’t quite achieve, and she absolutely nailed it.
With Bvlgari jewels adding the finishing, this might just be one of my favourite Anna Kendrick looks in a long time. I’m hoping she keeps this energy for the rest of the press tour.
