Meet the LA-based label celebrating fashion, function, and a little bit of fun

It’s no secret that fashion can’t get enough of an it-bag, every season designers queue up like it’s a beauty pageant competition, and show off their latest creations. Whilst the title for the it-bag of this season is a tight contest, with *possible* new entries sparking up from brands left right and centre, we’ll *probably* need some serious expertise to pick our favourite. *Perhaps*, there’s an underdog entrant, with a completely different mantra that informs its bag design. The Baguette Bag, courtesy of Possibly Probably Perhaps (PPP, for short), makes itself known as the Los Angeles’ debut design, and it’s a pretty appetising offering.

It’s not quite their own spin on that bestselling arm-partner, as PPP have taken a more, shall we say, literal, interpretation of the Baguette Bag – yes, it’s a bag that’s fit for a physical baguette . As a part of PPP’s Project 1, which launched back in September 2024, the Baguette Bag boasts four pockets entwined into the interior of the garment, (fit for cutlery and other eating accessories, duh). It can be worn in, not one, not two, not even three, but 35 different ways. Equipped with adjustable and detachable straps, buckles, and other fun gadgets hidden within the bag, wearers can sport it on their torso as a bandeau, around their waist as a belt, or in the original way – as a bag donning a baguette.

And if you thought that was the most satirical of the LA label’s design offerings, think again. Any acquainted Baguette eater knows the bready goodness goes best with a glass of vino – cue the Wine Glass Holster, a similarly adaptable bag which is built around the structure of a wine glass. PPP’s Wine Glass bag lets the glass stem stay on show, flaunting the sophisticated design of a good ol’ glass of wine. This time, it’s only a mere 8 different styles that the holster can be adapted into as opposed to the Baguette’s show stopping 35, but the Wine Glass Holster also includes straps, velcro details and elastic cords which can be merged in various ways to create new and interesting garments.

Yes, it’s a bit of fun, but a deeper message underscores PPP’s comical approach to fashion, one that acknowledges the day-to-day interactions between garments and their wearer, PPP’s convertible garments allow this relationship to become a co-creation. A conversation between the wearer and garment, where adaptability and functionality are celebrated, elevated, and harnessed by our individual needs. After debuting 6 months ago, the PPP mission statement remains a driving force for its functional design language. Aiming to merge ‘function and art in a way that transforms routine and everyday interactions into dynamic, ever-evolving experiences’, the press release notes, the PPP ethos emphasises wearable designs, complemented by limitless individualisation.

PPP’s Baguette Bags and Wine Glass Holsters are available for purchase at Ap0cene, Bungee Space, and Accent Sisters. We would urge you to raise a glass for the beginnings of PPP, but with its Wine Glass Holster you don’t need to! So let’s let the Holster do the talking, and toast to functional fashion.
