Ahead of Holland hitting Prime Video this Thursday, Nicole Kidman stepped out for a special screening in Nashville, and I have to say—I finally feel like we’re back in business.
Now, I haven’t exactly been head over heels for some of Nicole’s recent red carpet looks. The Fendi dress at SXSW? Didn’t quite land for me. The Time 2025 Women of the Year Chloé gown? Another miss. And while I personally loved the Saint Laurent suit at the Critics’ Choice Awards and the Miu Miu look from the TIME Women Of The Year Leadership Forum, I know some of you weren’t fully on board. Suffice it to say, she’s had a few ‘meh’ moments lately.
That’s why I was thrilled to see her in this Bottega Veneta Resort 2025 look. The relaxed-fit, asymmetric-pane, check-patterned shirt and black skirt felt like such a refreshing shift—one that’s totally twee-free. Instead of the whimsical, overly precious styling we’ve seen from her lately, this exudes modern, powerful ease. It’s giving Halina Reijn, high-powered CEO, rather than Disney press tour—thankfully.
The sleek black pumps kept the look streamlined, allowing the fashion-forward silhouette and styling to shine. It’s sharp, contemporary, and—most importantly—it feels right for her. This is the Nicole Kidman I want to see more of.
