Even though Kaitlyn Dever and Isabela Merced brought the glamour in their strapless looks, let’s be honest—Pedro Pascal stole the spotlight at The Last of Us Season 2 premiere. And really, are we surprised? The man has never been afraid to make a statement. The internet is still trying to recover from his 2023 Met Gala Valentino shorts moment.
This time, Pedro turned to Saint Laurent’s Fall 2025 collection, delivering a look that—at first glance—feels like a blend of preppy and rocker influences. The lapis blue turtleneck paired with a green, navy, and black checked blazer creates a polished yet slightly rebellious contrast against his black leather trousers. But there’s a major plot twist.

What isn’t immediately apparent—until you catch Pedro from the side—is that he’s actually wearing those Saint Laurent over-the-knee leather boots. Yes, those boots that made waves when the collection debuted on the runway. Supple, thigh-grazing, and undeniably bold, they added an unexpected, provocative edge to what initially seemed like a classic menswear ensemble.
To be fair, I wasn’t expecting to see these boots on a red carpet so soon. I had them earmarked for a dramatic Met Gala entrance (they would be so on theme for ‘Dandyism and Decadence’) or waiting for Lil Nas X to claim them as his own. But leave it to Pedro to make them happen first.
While the boots do look a little long for him, I appreciate the commitment. It’s a typically cool, nonchalant move from Pedro, and I wouldn’t be mad if we got to see these boots again—perhaps in a look that lets them take center stage.
So, did Pedro pull off the look? If nothing else, he definitely reminded us why he’s one of the most exciting men to watch on the red carpet.
