Christian Louboutin may be best known for its iconic red soles, but Spring/Summer 2025 marks a new era—one that’s all about the eyes. The brand has just stepped into the eyewear arena, partnering with Italian manufacturer Marcolin to create its debut collection. And if you were wondering who would lead the charge to introduce Louboutin’s Parisian flair in optical form, enter Diane Kruger, who stole every ounce of spotlight at the Christian Louboutin Eyewear Launch Event at The Nines in New York.
Wearing the Dolly LB0002 sunglasses, Diane proved that eyewear can be just as commanding as a killer heel. The frames feature classic Louboutin design codes like the signature red and the palmette motif inspired by the brand’s boutique architecture. It’s very Louboutin—dramatic, elegant, and a little bit cheeky.
But it wasn’t just the sunglasses doing the talking. Diane wore a ravishing red strapless bow-front dress from The New Arrivals. And honestly? It was the perfect partner. The colour tied beautifully with the glasses, and the label’s iconic red soles.
As if that wasn’t enough, Diane leaned into the red theme with full commitment—Louboutin red lace pumps and red tights. Some might call it overkill, but when you’re at a Louboutin party launching eyewear, the only way to do it is with full vision.
And while the scarf-as-accessory trend seemed to sneak in quietly at the start of 2025, it’s now clearly a statement piece—and Diane’s fiery red scarf added a sense of playful elegance and je ne sais quoi to an otherwise classic silhouette.
The look felt polished and theatrical in the best way, while still staying true to Diane’s effortless, European sensibility. From the tip of her pointed pumps to the top of her cat-eye shades, this was a lesson in brand commitment and clever styling.
