Emma Corrin Wore Steve O. Smith To The ‘CARTIER’ at the V&A Museum Gala Dinner

Emma Corrin, one of Cartier’s most stylish ambassadors since 2021, joined the jewellery house’s inner circle at the ‘CARTIER’ at the V&A Museum Gala Dinner on Thursday in London. While their delightfully fun Black Mirror look had us intrigued, for this occasion they slipped back into more familiar (and sheer) territory, wearing a Steve O. Smith Fall 2025 tulle gown that was anything but expected.

If the name Steve O. Smith is new to you, you may not have seen his work on Eddie Redmayne—Emma and Eddie share a stylist.

Smith’s USP? Turning sketches into clothing. Quite literally. His hand-drawn lines morph into wearable pieces that are equal parts technical and poetic. On Emma’s strapless gown, those darker, fluid strokes gave the sheer fabric an almost kinetic energy, like a sketchbook come to life. The detailing is so captivating that you almost forget how sheer the dress is—which, for Emma, might be the whole point.

Personally, I’m into it. I love a designer who sticks to a signature without becoming repetitive, and this piece is a great example of how to do it right. It’s clever, and creative.

The cherry on top? Emma looked genuinely happy. And while fashion doesn’t have to be joyful to be great, it sure helps. Cartier jewels rounded out a look that felt arty, fresh, and unmistakably them.
