Meghan Markle Wore Ralph Lauren Collection To The TIME100 Summit

At the 2025 TIME100 Summit in New York City, Meghan Markle was portraying her usual California-cool-meets-royal-grace aesthetic, serving keynote realness in conversation with TIME CEO Jessica Sibley. She touched on everything from her feel-good Netflix series With Love, Meghan (which is getting a second season), her lifestyle brand As Ever, and her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder.

Meghan wore a tan Ralph Lauren Collection linen suit that had all the bones of chic—until your eye travelled south. The ultra-wide-legged trousers were giving “spring in the city” until they started giving “help I’m drowning in fabric.” Honestly, I adore a slouchy, relaxed silhouette. I champion the oversized trend like it’s my personal mission. But trousers so long you’re stepping on them like you’re in a parents’ potato sack race with your own hem? It’s a sartorial no-no in my book. That’s my fashion ick, right after the horror of creased linen—which, thankfully, Ralph Lauren’s premium fabric managed to avoid. Points for that.

Meghan did accessorise with intention: cognac Manolo Blahnik BB pumps to tie in with a matching Ralph Lauren belt, Tabayer Oera earrings, Princess Diana’s Cartier watch, and a diamond tennis bracelet. Is the look bad? Not really, but I couldn’t concentrate on anything below the waistline. All I could see was those poor trousers picking up every bit of Manhattan grit.

The vibe was clearly meant to say “effortlessly elegant.” But instead, I was screaming internally, “tailor your pants”
