Taylor Russell usually has me in the palm of her hand when it comes to style — always fresh, always intriguing. But at the Tiffany & Co. Blue Book 2025: Sea of Wonder celebration at The Met on Friday, she left me feeling… surprisingly underwhelmed.
Wearing a Conner Ives Fall 2025 sheer layered chiffon gown, Taylor’s look felt more “wedding reception after-party” than the main event. It’s not a bad dress, but it’s not the right one for her or the occasion. It lacked that spark, that Taylor magic that we’ve all come to expect. Instead, it gave off a much more mature, subdued vibe that didn’t align with her usual playful and daring fashion proclivity.

And then there’s they bunching of the layers that is just killing the vibe.

The Tiffany & Co. jewels — a platinum necklace with Akoya pearls and diamonds, plus matching earrings and a ring — were beautiful, as always, but they were working a lot harder than the dress was.
This was a rare miss for Taylor, and with the Met Gala on the horizon, I’m hoping she shakes this off and comes back swinging.
