Ferragamo Creative Director Maximilian Davis delivered razor-sharp tailoring, rich cultural storytelling, and a healthy dose of red carpet drama for his Met Gala muses. In response to the theme Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, Davis presented bold silhouettes and heritage nods—tailoring infused with heart, swagger, and purpose.
Beads, blades, and breathtaking beauty
Ayo Edebiri’s look was truly the moment. Custom Ferragamo, but with so much more than label appeal — this was a visual love letter to her Nigerian heritage. The black leather tailcoat was sharply constructed, and those red beads? Pure regality. Rooted in traditional Edo fashion but rendered in a slick, modern silhouette, this look was tailored storytelling. She looked like she could lead an empire and still steal the show at an after-party. I’d call it a top-tier Met Gala moment.

The Count of Cool
LaKeith Stanfield gave us drama, depth, and a touch of romance in his belted Ferragamo robe coat. The fringed scarf doubled as a train — because why not? — and his wide-brimmed hat sealed the deal. It’s giving moody poet-meets-red-carpet-general. I expected more hats at the Met Gala.

Bombshell
Kylie Jenner’s espresso-toned Ferragamo herringbone gown brought a tailored severity that felt refreshing. The exposed corset beneath softened the structure with a hint of sensuality. I’ll admit, it may be divisive, but there’s a strong vision here — clean lines, and confident styling.

However, some might prefer the look with the shawl.

Hot tamale in high fashion feathers
Paloma Elsesser rounded out the Ferragamo squad with a crimson red look that crackled with energy. The feather detailing? A power move. This was fiery, and fierce.
