Blink and you’d have missed it—but thankfully, screengrabs exist. Cynthia Erivo dropped a quick sneak peek of her look for her upcoming RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 10 guest appearance via her Instagram Story, and it deserves more than 24 hours of fame.
Much like her Wicked co-star Ariana Grande—who’s already given us Glinda glamour on the All Stars stage—Cynthia also turned to Balmain for the occasion. She wore a fan-pleated black and green embellished top from the Fall 2024 collection that looked like couture armour designed for a magical queen. Styled with an even more dazzling diamante mini skirt, the look balanced strength and sparkle in that high-octane, drag-loving way.
I’m actually glad she ditched the leather runway trousers. While fierce in their own right, they would’ve made the overall look feel unnecessarily heavy and dialed down the glam. The mini skirt added lightness and playfulness—essential when you’re standing alongside queens who don’t exactly shy away from theatrics.
The green is giving a fabulous nod to Elphaba. This was a glam counterpoint to Ariana’s candy-coated Glinda energy.
Wickedly good.
