While Kylie Jenner was jetting off to Rome to support Timothée Chalamet as he was set to be honored at the David Di Donatello Awards following the Met Gala, Kendall Jenner was serving up her second look for the Met Gala after-parties.
And what a breathtaking look it was. I know many of you were underwhelmed by her look for the main event, but I have a feeling this Manfred Thierry Mugler Fall 1999 black kinetic suit from the La Vie en Rose collection served up the kind of drama you were hoping for.
This was a bold, architectural power move dipped in Mugler mystique, and I love that she fully leaned into the runway vision by wearing the satellite fascinator. Commitment like that deserves praise.
However, I can’t help but wish she’d pulled her hair back to let the sculpted neckline and collarless jacket shine. One of the best features of this suit is how it frames the shoulders, but with her hair down, it kind of got lost.
The fascinator is doing all the work as a result, in my opinion, but it’s still an amazing look.
