Kerry Washington attended the New York premiere of Shadow Force on Thursday evening, giving us a two-piece Prada moment that came this close to perfection.
Kerry and Prada have history—beautiful, stylish, red carpet history. And from the waist up, this look delivered. The chartreuse hue? Rich and refreshing. The signature Prada darts? Standard. The onyx beaded trim? Just the right touch of elegance. So what went wrong?
Well, the skirt appears to be auditioning for the a film called ‘Trip Hazard’. The extra length might be standard practice for custom pieces, allowing stylists to hem according to heel height, but something got lost in translation here. Whether there was a fitting or not, we may never know, but this needed a tailor’s touch.
That being said, Kerry still carried it with grace. The idea of the look is strong, and I love her hair here.
Let’s chalk this one up to a great look with a small stumble.
