One thing about the Met Gala is you never quite know who’s going to show up, or which brand is going to swoop in and steal a portion of the red carpet spotlight. This year, Moncler made their official Met Gala debut and with Edward Enninful at the creative helm and Remo Ruffini’s vision on board, the label arrived with intention. The theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, was reimagined through the lens of Moncler’s signature puffed-up DNA—think evening wear with altitude. We’ve already seen Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz, here is a look at the rest.
Ice Queen Energy, But Make It Gala WORTHY
Serena Williams shimmered like a celestial glacier in her Moncler x EE72 custom silvered seafoam-green liquid satin fantasy that flowed with every step. It had that signature Moncler edge thanks to the down-quilted silk satin cape—equal parts regal, high fashion, and pure comfort.

Pinstripes & Drama
Vittoria Ceretti gave us a navy pinstripe tailored mini dress reworked the Moncler way—cue the sculptural puffed hooded cape that transformed this look from ‘boardroom chic’ to ‘Met Gala enchantress’ in one swoop. Hooded drama at the Met is always welcome, but this felt fresh, aerodynamic, and full of attitude.

Liquid Layers and Trench Temptation
When you think of Moncler, outerwear is the obvious association—but Fei Fei Sun’s custom Moncler x EE72 by Edward Enninful look offers something far more intriguing. Beneath the dramatic, long-tailed trench coat, the asymmetric, liquid-effect ruffled organza gown adds an unexpected layer of elegance and edge.

Checkmate in Burgundy
Colin Kaepernick came to make a statement—in style and substance. Wearing a custom Ozwald Boateng look in collaboration with Moncler and Enninful, his burgundy check three-piece suit was elevated with a draped cape that added motion and depth. It had gravitas—power dressing redefined.
Cape Crush, Sculptural Slay
Nessa Diab served major silhouette with her Moncler x EE72 x Chuks Collins moment. The cropped cape paid homage to Moncler’s alpine roots, but the architectural skirt from the Chuks Collins Spring 2025 Nné collection brought a sense of drama. Strong, feminine, and distinctly modern.
With this debut, Moncler expanded the vocabulary of what tailoring and outerwear can mean when interpreted through a fashion-forward, culturally resonant lens. Tailored, puffed, and unapologetically bold.
