It was a celebratory night at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel as the 2025 Peabody Awards brought out a mix of star power and personal style.
LUNCHEON Look
Kerry Washington wore the Dior Pre-Fall 2025 floral print we previously swooned over on Jodie Foster in Cannes. It was one of the standout looks of that day. But here, Kerry’s take—styling the skirt with a navy knit sweater and black accessories—tilted the tone toward power brunch rather than awards glamour. It’s Dior, so it still holds up, but the contrast between look and location was a little hard to ignore.
Strapless and Striking
Jurnee Smollett delivered a red carpet moment in a white Carolina Herrera Resort 2025 strapless gown. Clean, classic, and completely striking, this look needed nothing more than that bold, beautiful necklace to frame the neckline. It was elegance with impact.
Drapery drama
Anna Kendrick opted for a strapless magenta gown that gave her a statuesque silhouette. I love how the vibrant colour popped.
Missing with the makeup
Mandy Moore’s ivory Adam Lippes ensemble was elevated with a mint green Jimmy Choo bag and matching ankle strap sandals. But the dark lipstick? It felt a little heavy for the freshness of the look. A lighter hue was needed here for me.
White Socks Killed the Vibe
Benito Skinner wore a Dsquared2 Pre-Fall 2025 look that oozed modern sophistication… until we got to the shoes. The trousers needed an extra inch or two, as the white socks with shiny black shoes combo disrupted the flow. From the ankles up, though, it’s a win.
Floral finesse
Marissa Bode, who stars in Wicked, was all charm in a Hutch floral print dress. Pretty, flattering and event-appropriate, it was a whimsical choice that perfectly matched her energy.
Asymmetric and in bloom
Nava Mau wore an Ulla Johnson dress that felt like it was out of a fairy-tale. With its asymmetric hem and cottagecore floral print, it was visually interesting and softly romantic.
A masterclass in colour and fit
Uzo Aduba made sure no one could miss her in a bold lilac Safiyaa Flora dress. The fit was divine, the colour electric, and the whole look radiated confidence. This was a standout from every angle.
