Mahershala Ali attends the "Jurassic World Rebirth" World Premiere Etro green suit

With Jurassic World Rebirth stomping into London for its world premiere, the cast were out in full force to give us a fashion moments to sink our teeth into. Held at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square, Scarlett Johansson was flanked by co-stars Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend and Jonathan Bailey—all of whom brought a unique approach to the red carpet, ranging from full character immersion to straight-up style.

Jungle-core

Mahershala Ali brought character dressing to a whole new level in a custom Etro look that felt like luxe camouflage for a prehistoric adventure. The Birds of Paradise jacquard wool robe coat, jacket and trousers nodded to the wild world of Jurassic World Rebirth, while the styling told a story all his own. His burgundy Sharina hat by Gigi Burris Millinery—now something of a signature since his unforgettable 2019 Oscar win—added a personal touch, complemented by Moscot sunglasses in a matching hue. But the standout detail?

If palaeontology had a uniform

At first glance, Jonathan Bailey’s look might seem underwhelming—especially coming off the back of his Wicked promo run where the drama was dialled all the way up. But this time, it feels intentional. Playing a “geeky palaeontologist” in the film, Jonathan’s pared-back attire reflected a character-first approach. Subtle, functional and just the right amount of dorky chic—it’s a move that I believe quietly says, “I’m in character.”

A classic approach with a soft-toned twist

Rupert Friend, on the other hand, decided against the immersive route. His look—a sharp black suit paired with a peach shirt and tie—opted for simple sophistication. No need for jungle cues or thematic accessories here. Sometimes, a clean-cut suit with an unexpected colour pairing is all you need to keep things interesting.
