Keke Palmer Wore Chanel Haute Couture To The 2025 BET Awards

Keke Palmer is no stranger to a standout style moment—and at the 2025 BET Awards, held at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, she reminded us why she’s in a league of her own. Her lane? The archive lane.

The actress wore a striking midnight blue Chanel Fall 1993 Haute Couture ensemble—sourced from the always-reliable Lily et Cie—hat looked like it was plucked straight from a fashion fantasy, balancing theatricality with era-specific elegance. Gold sequins and beaded embellishments traced the tulle bodysuit and high-waisted skirt with playful precision, capturing the spirited glamour of early ’90s Chanel.

Crucially, she kept the original tulle train—thankfully. It adds a whimsical drama that some might have been tempted to snip off in favour of sleekness, but Keke’s personality fills it out with ease. It would’ve lost its charm without it.

I love how Keke is not just wearing archival couture; she’s reanimating it. She doesn’t just pay homage—she makes it hers. Archive Queen status: reaffirmed.

Stylist: Molly Dickson.
